I love this hobby. There's always something new that you learn. I've never once heard that Heniochus Bannerfish eat sponge. In spite of my 3 Heniochus being fed 3 or 4 times per day, in the mean time, they are eating the living daylights out of my orange ball sponge. Obviously, I'm now feeding more phtyo to keep the sponge growth in line with the feeding from the bannerfish.

Nice! I've always wanted to attempt sustaining a fish species on live sponge or coral. Let us know how the sponge keeps up.

Sounds like a 50/50 proposition to me. Well fed fish but a abused ornamental piece. Good luck with the phyto feeding.

If these were full size fish, I think the sponge would be gone by now. Luckily they are just babies.

Thats awesome. I cant say I knew that either. You really do learn something new everyday. Sustaining them with a sponge would be a cool idea.
