I have had this "Leather" I think, for quite some time and it has alwasy been healthy and grown 300%.
This is what it looked like

Over the last couple of weeks, it just doesnt look good any more. Kind of droopy, and the tan colored branches are more often tightened up, kind of like when it is sleeping at night or feeding.

Here is what it looks like today

Water params are all normal and have been. No feeding changes, light changes.

Any thoughts on what may be going on ?

    Cheers

that looks like a colt coral to me, techno 2

they do that periodically, mine does it every night after lights out and also on average once every other week, they deflate, to get rid of water internally and then re inflate

mine is normally back to general condition/ appearance within 1 day
is yours still like this or has it returned to normal now?

Good to know on the name, thanks..

Yeh, mine always did that at night, but now it has been day and night for a week or two.

The only thing I noticed is that he is finally letting go of the small rock frag that it was stuck to when purchased when it was about two inches tall. Now it is stuck to a big rock and ofe 12" tall. Maybe it takes energy to detach or something..

    Cheers

Well I do use a strontium and iodite , about once a week.
I will need to get a new Iodine tester as mine is out.

Does it disolve naturally if dosing stops ?

    Cheers
