    i got a beautful tan pink toadstool two weeks a go.she opened up right away when i put her in she grew very quickly so i had to move her twice to give her,her own space she was still fine and the other day she didnt open up.its been 4days now and she still the same the water is fine a little trance of nitrite but they said that was fine and she right under the t5s i put the flow in her direction i dont know what to do does this happen sometimes when they just dont open up all the other corals are growning and happy

    How old is your tank? With an established tank that's gone completely through it's cycle, there should be no nitrites what so ever. I you sure you didn't mean nitrates? But FYI, toadstools will go through periods where they shed their outer skin during which all of their polyps will be retracted.

    not sure they like direct flow. ive got mine when its in an off shoot current. the polyps kinda waft. lighting ive found doesnt seem to be ov3erly important , mines done just as well up high to down low. as for it being closed. does the stool to have a mucousy look to it? it could sloughing off skin to grow.

    5months old the shop said i had 0.1mgil nitrite n02 and 5mglr nitrite n03 everything else was fine i do a 15 lilter water change every friday its a 200lilter tank im gonna remove my interal fitter and get another powerhead i have a exteral fitter and uv sterilizer so the one in the tank they said to take out as it harbons nitrite ya like you said it

    your tank is too young, i'd give it 8-12 months with proper water changes every monthto stabilize it
