1 Get good leds from a good source, LEDgroupbuy and stevesleds have great ones
    2. UV leds shouldn't go over reefs, and they are usually TV and low quality. HV from ledgroupbuy peak at chlorophyll A's spike at 428nm
    3. I'd highly recommend reading this Lighting spectra, Photosynthesis, and You (new plots!) - Lighting Forum - Nano-Reef.com Forums and looking into Evil Clusters, which uses a true NW bridgelux around I think, well it's huge surrounded by Royal Blue (450nm or so), and sometimes Cool blue (470nm or so), HV(430nm or so), DR (680nm or so), and cyan (395nm or so)

there's this seller on eBay called joy-deal. look up his store. i ordered all my LEDs from there and they are all still running except for 2 that I shorted out...ooops :-o. And the selection and pricing are great. Plus free shipping. only have to wait a few weeks to get to you on the china express shipping.

    I have a few
Just don't get leds off ebay unless you really know what your doing, 90% chance all the leds on their are either knockoffs or low quality. Email LEDgroupbuy, or Stevesleds, you could use 12 watt Luxeon M's or Evil Clusters

I have a 55 tall....using 36 3w chips from Joy-Deal and 2 mean well dimmable drivers with 1 regular driver from joy-deal (9-12 Led). I started putting sps in my tank about 2 months ago and they are growing at a nice rate. I use a mixture of 65k white, royal blue 1:1 ratio and the rest reds, blue, and UV. I don't use optics since I like to keep my fixture low and I hate glueing those stupid little optics on the chips. The heatsink is from RapidLed when it was $20 off. I love in an apartment so I can't make anything too permanent. Here's a few quick snaps with the photography grade iPhone lol...[IMG][IMG][IMG]

IMO some Luxeon M's (From stevesleds) in NW and RB will be great.

idk why it comes out purplish every time with this phone. I can assure you it's not lol. it's more of a whitish blue look.
