    depends on the spread and how high you place it above the tank. I would say maybe two to avoid dead spots. If you hang it high enough one will be fine but light penetration will be the issue and I am not an expert on that.

    According to the information provided in the link these have 30 degree lenses and wouldnt have the best spread, i would go with two of these to get the best coverage over that size of a tank.

    I think it will restrict the spread.

    most likely it would fit, and those type of fixtures disipate heat through fins on the bulb this would restrick the heat disapation. Lower the life of the bulb.
