ok so my 10g needs lites and im going led hoping to keep sps only maybe so lps but ne wayz im going with:

    3 Cree Cool-White XP-G ~ 6500K
    3 Royal-Blue Cree XP-E
now my question is which buckpuck should i get and if i go wit non dimmable cant i just get a adjustible power supply from 1.5v-12v and use that so i can dim them if need b?

No pretty sure you can't do that. I forget all the electrical jargain but they need a specific voltage to even light up. I think what does the dimming is the amperage. As for which Buck Puck you have to check the max amps of the leds and match the Buck Puck to it. Are you planning to run all the leds on one driver?

Putting different types of leds on one driver isn't normally encouraged. I forget exactly why. I think it has something to do with varying resistances or something. I don't know exactly but I know there is a better chance of blowing out the LEDs. You would need to talk to some with more knowledge than I. I do know though that those whites are 1500mA and the blues are 1000mA aren't they?

im pretty sure they only use different drivers to have control of blues and whites separate i dont kno im waiting for one of my diy buddies to chime in

The voltage stays the same, it is the current that is adjustable for the dimming.

If the bulbs are the same Voltage and Amp rating, then you can run them on the same driver.

ok so im lost again with a couple of confusing questions ok so i founds some 10w leds and im gonna run 2 of those one cool white and one blue 455nm now my question is will these
drivers specs : Input Voltage: AC 85~265V
    Output Voltage: 10V~11V
    Current: 950mA ±50mA)work for my
Led specs : blues, Luminous: 150-200LM
    Input voltage: 10-11V
    Input current: 900mA
    Power: 10W)
    whites, 600-700LM 10-12V 1A
i was just gonna get 2 drivers
also my question is if the driver is a Constant current driver can it still be made dimmable wit a pot ?

If its constant current you can't dim it. It should work but you might be overdriving the leds ad it says it outputs 950mA ±50mA. If you know a little about electronics you might be able to run something to reduce the current but that's well beyond my knowledge. A little reading might get you the info you need though.

i guess i will have to read up lol i ordered them any way for the price i paid if it doesnt work its no real biggy i guess i should read up and find out what ±50mA means 950mA ±50mA
