if people use led's over huge tanks then theres no question they can light a tiny nano, may not be the cheapest option but in the long run is great

yea leds are great especially for smaller tanks like the ones you're planning on building i recently (about 2 months aog) put leds on my 5 gallon shallow pico and i got a monti cap. a frogspawn, a candy cane, and a favia, and a blasto all about a 2 and a half weeks ago and have seen significant growth on all except the favia. and the monti has almost a quarter inch of growth in only 2.5. oh and keep in mind this from a diy led set up i made myself. its not quite done yet though i need to add some actenic to it so far i only have white lights so theyre not looking as good as they would with the actenics as well. let me know if you need any help or wanna know where to get the stuff.

oh and p.s. so far ive only spent about 33 dollars on my set up so i think ive done pretty well :)
