    I purchased a Leopard Wrasse from Liveaquaria.com.

It was beautiful in the bag when I received it. I did the normal acclaimation process and introduced it in the tank. When I did it IMMEDIATELY swam to the bottom of the tank and buried itself in the sand.

I haven't seen it since (2 days). I know some wrasses bury themselves... but not seeing it at all??? I am also thinking there isn't much I can do about it either.... I have no idea where it is now and I don't want to go stirring up my sand bed everywhere.

Anyone have any experience with Leopard Wrasses or similar situation???

    Thanks
    Mark

I'd be surprised if he did anything different. He buried himself, he can get out by himself.

Yup, sounds right to me. Wrasses are curious yet timid. He'll most likely show up in another day or two.

However, what else is in the tank (fish/inverts)?

My leopard wrasse did the same thing! Came out almost two weeks later. and now that shes more comfortable! Shes out everywhere eating like a pig in the 120g!

However she decided her home is underneath my 7" derasa clam... lol Its not to pleased about that for the most part.

yea, congrats on it, my favorite wrasse, but I cant have wrasses due to the blood shrimp that are in my tank.

Crograts on the wrasse. By far, one of my favorite fish. Mine does the disappearing act every now and then as well. Perfectly normal. Mine buries himself to sleep every night. First one to bed as soon as the lights go out and the last one to show himself when the lights come on.
