Lfs rip off!!!

I saw the biggest LFS rip off today and couldn't resist posting this.

Mangroves for $20.00 each! No roots, no leaves! Who do they think they're kidding? With prices like that I'm going to import mangroves through reefcleaners and sell them out of a van next to the LFS LMAO.

Lets hear some more LFS rip offs. Only rule is no naming names.

 

One LFS I went to had a Blue Hippo Tang, Tiny size for 99.99 on sale... By tiny I mean like .5-.75 "... I definitely was in and out of there pretty fast!

I was quoted $100 bucks per head for real nice acan frag..

My favorite LFS in town charges $5 bucks per head on nice acans..
Guess who I go to..

 

One eyed firefish $60, brown half dead 1/2 inch acro frags with glue all around the base $75 I think my laughter pissed him off!

 

Guys come on. The only reason that prices in the world are what they is because we the consumer are willing to pay it. I guarantee that if us reefers said we are not going to pay more than $10 a frag for any coral (it doesnt matter what it is) and stuck together we would be able too. Yes some FS owners do take advantage of people and its not right. They are after the impulse buyer. They usually dont get the more advanced reefers like someone who goes into a store and knows what they are looking at and has already shopped around. I would be willing to bet we all have been took by overpaying for something in our lives. If we said that we didnt it wouldnt be the truth. Ill be the first one to say if I could go to walmart and buy 10 gal tanks for $10 dollers and could go down the road and sell them for $100 I would buy everyone that walmart had and would have them ordering more for me. but thats just me.

 

In the Greenwich CT they sell Starry Blennys for $50 and they told me there cheapest frags are no less then $100.

 

Wow some crazy stuff. I don't pay more than $5 per frag from my supplier unless it's something special I'm looking for.

 

I work a couple nights at Petco, and even still I think that 7.99 for a 1 gallon bottle of "Goldfish Water" is insane!!!!
