    ok so.. I ordered my lights from my LFS guy a few days ago.. and they are supposed to be here tomorrow.
    thing is. when i asked him about it, he actually told me the width of the light fixture and they are pretty thin.... and i dont really like the idea of that.
    he told me that i could try them out and if i didnt like them i could get my money back.. so....

    the only reason why i got those was because he was selling them for only 500 bucks. but recently at foster and smith aquatics i found out that the same light fixture i have for my 29G they also sell it for 72".. so they are perfect. and they are only 50 dollars plus shipping more than my other lights.

    Aquarium Lighting T5 Fluorescent Light Fixture: AquaticLife T5 HO and Lunar Light Fixtures

    what do you guys think i should do?

    the lights im getting are similar to this
    Aquarium Compact Florescent Light Fixture: AquaticLife Compact Fluorescent Lunar Light Fixtures
    but they are coralife. they come with 6 lunar lights but no timer.

    If your looking to save a few bucks, maybe get an Odyssea fixture from aquatraders.com
    For the money they're great lights. Coralife is ok. I think they're new fixtures are a little better than their previous ones

    I got an odyssea t5 fixture for around 100 from aquatraders and have been using it for several months. It has built in digital read out timers, led moonlights (3 or 4 I think). I realize lighting isn't an area to skimp on... But it is working fine for me. ( just adding on to what brad was saying) I hope this wasn't too off topic.

    Normally I believe in supporting a LFS. But if you like the one like the one on your 29 I would get it. The Aquaticlife is a better fixture IMO.

    If the LFS is compact flourescent and the online is T5 then to me its a pretty obvious vote for the T5

    i think they are both t5s
    but the fixture looks like that. Its a corallife so im almost 100% sure that they are t5.

    the difference between the 2, is that the one from the LFS is thin. ( i just put that link as a reference.) i think it puts out a bit more wattage than the Aquatic life.
    LFS=345 watts
    Aquatic life= 312 watts

    the LFS one doesnt have a timer, and the aquatic life does.
