    I upgraded my lighting to a par38 50/50 10,000 5 blue, 5 white, 2 uv

    Over a 15g how high should the light be placed from the surface?

    Whats in the tank? The photos i posted on your other thread have an old Boost LED Par 30 (or so) and it is right over top my cube, however I don't think it will grow much more than some softies, I did use it on a few zoas back in the day. what is your suspension method and what do you have/ intend to have in the tank.

    I keep softies, shrooms, zoas, xenia, and some lps.
    I have had this light running for a week and things are already growing.

    Just wasn't sure the distance, I've seen some 9inches, 6 inches, 12

    Start with 12-16" above. If it's anything like the quality par38s out there, it'll grow them no problem. You can move it lower over time, but just make sure you don't bleach anything.
