Lighting for DIY Canopy

    Hello ther 3 reef. I am in the process of instaling my DIY canopy with my lighting ( 2-96W PC's & 4-65w PC's)My question is how high does the light have to be from the top of the tank. The height of the canopy is 16".

    I have 4 x 440watt VHO lights and they are about 5 inches off the open water. I would think the same would be good for PC's. The only thing you have to watch for is salt creep on the lights. I myself don't have that problem.

    OK , I had in mind somewhere between 6-8 inch. I just didnt know if that would have been to far.
