thats a good fixture, but what size tank do you have and what are your plans for it? You might be able to get a better deal on something else, or for the same price but might be better.

Well that would be more than enough to keep only softies, however it will allow you to keep SPS down the road if you choose so. I have had a current fixture before, and just letting you know the bulbs arent the best and I think the color looks horrible. If you factor in replaceing the bulbs it would be more expensive than buying a basic tek 6 bulb fixture with good bulbs included. Look at this http://www.reefgeek.com/lighting/T5_Fluorescent/Sunlight_Supply/Tek_Light_Fixtures/36_inch__6x39W_Tek_Light_T5_High-Output_Fixture_w!_Bulbs_(Black)_by_Sunlight_Supply And this price includes bulbs of your choice, so you can get ATI bulbs which will put out much more PAR.

I would look at the 4X3W Tek or ATI fixtures. That is more than enough lighting for SPS and high light clams and plenty of bulbs for creating a pleasing color.
