Im considering a lighting upgrade for my 36g bf ...30" wide, 9" deep not including the bow. I have a few softies and LPS corals. Currently running a HO T5 2 lamp 24W and a 65W (50/50) PC for suppliment. 2 fixtures ...inconvenient!! Aside of MH and/or hanging fixtures, Any suggestions?

A 4X24W fixture with individual reflectors would work. I think the Coralife extreme is the model you are looking for. Replace the stock bulbs after about 3 or 4 months.

Now I question wattage. My current T5s run 48 total watts. My PCs run 65 ...a total of 113 watts. Am I correct in assuming that going to a 4x24w would provide less lighting benefits than the lights I currently run? 113 vs 98

Not if you have individual reflectors. With individual reflectors THO are about 50% stronger than PC.

On the 55 gal. I have 2 over it as primary really and also kept my 2 bulb Glo fixture with 2 T5s so I can tweak the color. Over the 14 gal. I am using 1 module and 1 stunner for all the lighting.

Thanks jed and 2in10 ...this helped me arrive to a decision. I'll go with a 4x24 ho t5 w/ individual reflectors. The top of the tank is 6' from the floor ...perfect for viewing a smaller system. 1 fixture is best for simple access to the top. Next project... 10g sump ...eliminate the well hidden but noticeable hob components.
K+ for your advice ...thanks to all.
