    Anyone use these? Haveing good algea growth under them?

    Are you trying to get these for your refugium? These are decoration lights for night time. You need something more substantial to set up a fuge. Also you don't want hair algae, ever. Go for a good nutrient exporter like caulerpa or chaeto, possibly mangroves.

    i had leds over a tank and all the algae died.

    I have the blue lights already for moon lights over my RSM, I can link the whites to them and was wondering if they would work over a refugium for cheto growth????If not I need a light that is very small for the area behind the RSM that would work.

    would that be suitable for a pretty large size fuge? i have mine with the di 20x12x12 section i have a used one that i can use, but dont know is that big enough or not

    Thats too big. I need something that will fit in the rear chamber of the red sea max. Where the skimmer was.

    I bought an under counter pc light from lowes. Its 9 watts, and it says its soft white, but no kelvin rating. Am I close on the spectrum?
