I have the 48" coralife with 2 50/50 65watt lights, I run these from 7 am to 9pm...is this too long? I cannot run them at seperate times as I only have 1 plug for both bulbs?

I say if your tank is not displaying any issues such as nusiance algae on the glass or your coral running from the light then you should be fine. That is not that much light with PC you should be fine. MH on the other hand you might be in for a bit of trouble.

I would think that even tho you dont have any nusiance algae now that you would have it soon cuz 14 hours is a lotta light. I run mine from 12 to 9p.m. I'm sure not saying i am right, just thats what i do. Good luck Nemo.

One thing would should also look at is where the tenant of the tank from. I the equator area then 12hrs is about right further north or south could make a difference in the time that is actaully needed to supply your tank.
