I'm in the process of setting up a 5.5 gal pico, and would like to get some opinions about lighting options.

It is a cheap-o All Glass 5.5 gal, that is 16 inches wide. I have a nice DSB (~3 inches) with about 7 or so lbs of LR (cycling away, in the dark, goin' nice and S...L...O...W) :cheesy:

Running a AquaClear 20 at the moment, but may add a Subcurrent surface skimmer (Current USA), so should have plenty of flow. Thinking of a Remora C down the road...

I'd like to do T5s- anyone have any suggestions as to how many watts and where to find such an odd length (16 inch)? I'll certainly consider a retro kit, but let's be honest- a commercial set is just easier... maybe a clip-on or a pendant??

    Thanks!

Don't think T5's come in anything smaller than 24" wide

I know its not a T5 but this is a nice little light with tons of wattage for such
a small light and I am sure the legs will adjust to accomdate your tank.

Thanks for the input! I decided to go with a Current USA 2x32 watt Current USA SunPaq retro, with 1 dual daylight (6.7k/10k) and 1 dual actinic (420 nm/460 nm). Pics to come soon!!
