the fuzzy chitons are my favorite clean up crew members. I think the limpets are more interchangeable with nerites but chitons are great to look at and do well with red turf algae.

Don't bother with limpets. We had 3, 2 of them died within days. And one is still alive, we think, but has done nothing to aid in cleaning up anything. He's basicly a tank hobo that doesn't move anywhere.

Chitons, however, are one of my favorite clean up crew members. They look flippin' awesome without fuzz, and they do one heck of a job at cleaning up algae. Amazing critters. We bought two, and by the looks of it, they bred. So that's even more of a bonus. Chitons get my vote completely.

Hey, don't knock the limpets. I have about 4 or 5 of them and they are awesome. I've had them since the very beginning and they have survived everything. They may not be as quick moving as other snails but they get the job done.

My chiton must be lazy, didn't even realize he was in the tank till I was doing a tank check and barely noticed him,he came in as a hitch hiker, probably from John, and is the color of the rock.He doesn't move more than 1.5" to 2" from the same spot and only moves at night but I keep a check on him.He does keep his little spot clean though, just stays close to home.
