If your clownfishes have paired-up, they might have "issues" with a newcomer in their territory.

As far as seeing lionfish eat, it may or may not feed at the LFS, altho a fuzzy typically can't resist a live ghost shrimp. It also may depend on how much the fish is currently being fed (they really should only eat about 3x a week). The key would be for the fish to show interest in food if this is the case.

Fuzzies are a great first lionfish...hardy, pretty, and tons of "fish-anality". I do STRONGLY recommend QT-ing the lionfish (or any new fish), as this is where you will get the lion feeding well, conditioned, and weaned off of living foods, if it already isn't weaned.

Lots of the lions have been coming in with flukes lately, so I'd consider treating it with praziquantel and metronidazole while it's in QT. If you go with API General Cure, it contains both meds.

As for the "eating anything that fits in its mouth", this is true of most fishes. To be on the safe side, don't keep anything with the lionfish that is less than 75% of its adult size, and any torpedo-shaped fishes should be larger than that as they are easily-swallowed. Ornamental crustaceans will almost always be eaten.

great feedback - yes I am a believer in a QT and have a QT tank set up. I use praziPro - is that ok?
