i see that you also want a blue spotted stingray in a 75 gallon, not very smart, they need much larger than that. but anyways, the lionfish depending on what size it is could be fed krill, silverside, squid, and pretty much any meaty foods. please dont put a stingray in a 75 gallon. good luck.

I agree. If the Lion Fish is small(2"-3" long) then maybe. But know this, he will out grow a 75g and when that time comes, either you up grade to a bigger tank or trade him in.

There are few of Lion fish species that come in "dwarf models" like the Twinspot LF, Shortfin LF and the Zebra LF. The other species can grow rather big, too big for a 75g(IMO). As for the Stangray, I dont know too much about them as I have never had one before.

stingrays need huge aquariums. they can get 10 inches in diamater. i thought volitan lionfish would be ok in a 75 gallon. they dont swim much/fast. they just have a large body and fins.

We have a lionfish in our 125 gallon right now, when we got him two months ago he was about 5" long and I would say he's grown at least three inches since then. You have to remember how wide they get and that they are going to need a very large turning radius.

Like everybody else said, I wouldn't recommend it unless you plan on upgrading. They are awesome fish but they need lots of room. As for how it would do with a tang, our lionfish pretty much ignores our yellow tang. Watch your damsels though, if you plan on keeping them after you put him in the tank. Our lionfish has eaten three damsels, which is really our fault, we should have fed him right before we introduced them to the tank. As long as he is well fed, he doesn't pay attention to the smaller fish, but if he misses a feeding, WATCH OUT.
