I want to set up a tank with a lion fish. Would a 65 tall be big enough for a voltarian lion fish? If not what could I put in a 55.
    Thanks
    Vinny

They could fit in there..... and I can't say we didn't do it for 10 years, but after giving one a nice deep tank at about 100g, we'd never go back to the smaller tank. They just seem so much more at ease and move around more in a larger tank.

What are the dimensions of a 55/65g tall? They really need the depth for fin span.

Well two years is a long time and I will most likely go to a bigger tank then. but for two years if I get a small on he would be ok?

The link I provided gives lots of good info on the different kinds of lions (with pics) and the tank size requirements for them.

"Antennata and Radiata, lionfish are frequently found at local fish stores. As adult fish, they are considered medium sized (10-15" long with tail) and, while they are relatively inactive swimmers, they still must be housed in a fairly large aquarium (75 gallons or more)."
