    OK,
So my new light is not in yet and I want to set up my rock in the new tank.

Can Live rock with a good coating of Coraline survive under 65W of standard aquarium lighting for 1-2 weeks ? Or will it all die off.

    Thanks

it will live but there will also be some die off. where are you buying it from

remember the rock you buy from a store more then like hasn't been under proper lighting for a couple weeks so i wouldn't be too concern about putting it in your tank

The 50lbs of live rock is coming from my 46 gallon 12 month old tank, and going into the new 110 but my new lighting is not in yet.

that is a 24" coral life CF, 120w, which was never the right light for that tank either. It will need to stay to keep the shrooms alive until the transfer.

I suspect I should wait till the new Nova comes in. Its just hard to wait and I wanted to get the rock setup and settled for a week or so.

should be fine, it seems to grow best in places that lower light

Liverock is hardy under poor lighting conditions. When you turn your lights on you need to do it in stages, just don’t blast it with a bunch of 250’s for 10 hrs on the first day.
