Does anyone have any experience with Live Rock Ranch? I am looking to purchase about 75 lbs of rock to start up my tank. They are offering 15lbs live rock and 60 lbs dry rock for $185. Seems like a decent price but i have never heard of them before. Anyone have any info?

i hear they are great, thats where my lfs gets alot of their good quality live rock because their wholesaler has crap rock.

i think they are pretty common they are one of the first results on a google search. thats usually a good judge of how popular they are.

Thanks for the BBB link. Not much info there on this company.. looks like they have had 5 total complaints... that does not seem like many.

I purchased 500 pounds from them about a year ago and the rock never shipped out. I contacted the guy several times and over and over he stated that the rock would ship right away. A couple weeks of getting the same response I asked for a refund and of course no response to that... So I asked for a refund for I believe 4 or 5 days in a row with no response. The last email I sent I told them to refund my money with 24 hours or I would have to dispute the payment. A couple hours later I got an email and all it said was "refunded". They did refund the payment but it was about a 3 week hassle all together.

I have heard alot of similar stories about this company. Took a payment, never shipped, and then either got very poor quality rock or a huge hassle to get a refund. If I were you, I would go with Marco Rocks or Reefcleaners. I always hear good things about both, and I have personally had a good experience with Marco. I think they do a LR/DR combination that you described as well.

Lol the bbb gives a F rating I would pass on them go macro and buy a small piece of LR from a pal or some Bactria in a bottle.

I don't know if this helps or not, but I always here of people ordering from Macro Rocks or reefcleaners. I've never heard a complaint from members here as of yet.
