I had some aptasia on my live rock as well. I did buy a couple peppermint shrimp and they made short work if it. One day the little tentacles were short and stubby. The next day the whole thing was gone. Although I have heard that they don't always eat them. B ut it worked for me. Good luck.

    Heres my experience with aiptasia:
Tried lemon juice. Didnt work. Tried lime juice. Didnt work. Tried boiling water. Didnt work. Tried super glue. Didnt work. Got 3 peppermint shrimp. Never touched them.
Then got joe's juice. All were gone within 2 shots. ;)

Well, I was looking at the largest one and noticed a bristleworm poking out. I took out both of the new rocks and soaked them in cold freshwater. Got rid of the bristleworm and made the anemones shrivel up. I took tweezers and dug the ones I could see out. Tomorrow I'll check and see if any others pop up.

Did you rinse really well after tearing them up with tweezers?

I got rid of two aptasia by filling a pipette with lemon juice and squirting it on them. They just disintegrated never to return.

Oh well. I'll just keep an eye out to see if I see any pop up and will take immediate action to remove them.

    Thanks for the help.

I got rid of most of mine with two peppermint shrimp in a 90g tank. It took about a week for them to clue in on what to do.

I have heard lemon juice works. Jason had no luck with it. I just mixed some kalkwasser in some RO water, drew it up in a syringe and injected a little into the mouth of the aiptasia with a 23 guage one inch needle. I would suggest a 25 guage 5/8th inch if you can get one. It tried to come back the next day, then died.

You may want to buy a few peppermint shrimp and put them in there as protective measure. Just in case. They are small and nocturnal.
