I'm thinking about changing my returns from standard 45 degree elbows to a loc line setup with a flare nozzle. This way I can position the nozzle right at the waterline and minimize drain back to my sump. I have never used loc line before, and I'm not familiar with it. It seems pretty cut and dry, but I have not found a fitting that goes from 1" or 3/4" slip PVC to 3/4" loc line. It may not even exsist, but the bulkheads I installed are slip X slip 1" bulkheads, so I need to transition from that to the loc line.

Right now it looks like I would have to use a 1" glue X 3/4" female threaded pvc adaptor. Then use this 3/4" NPT connector for 3/4" Loc-Line Modular Hose - English , but that is going to look like crap IMO. Does anyone know if they make what I'm looking for?

i havent seen anything other than threaded locline connections.
as for keeping it near the top of the water in case of power outage its easy. mine are the flared ends and i keep it about a inch under the water, works just fine.

Yeah, I wanted to use 3/4 bulkheads for the returns, but I only wanted to buy one drill bit, so I just used 1 inch for everything and bushed them down for the returns.
