long spiny urchin

    How much trouble is a long spiny sea urchin?
    Do they destroy things the walk across or can the polyps and mushrooms handle it?
    thinkin about getting one.

    my lfs has a few of em.... they suck the corraline algae straight off the rock with no problem.... only thing that I do not like about these creatures....

    +1 with tatted4ever they will clear your tank of coraline algae in no time at all, but besides that they are wonderful. They will also knock down anything in their path.

    My LFS said their sting from the spikes will paralyze you? Others say it is like a bee sting? Which is true?

    I had one for years and he never touched my coral, i hated that he ate all my coraline every week. ALso they get in fights with starfish and crabs lol, it was epic until my little likna killled him
