I want to ge a longnose hawkfish in a few months, but I have read that they are difficult to keep alive in an aquarium. Is that true?

saltwater.com had them as easy care, which is right?

    Thanks!

I never was able to keep one but when they were alive in my tanks, they ate my shrimp.

Yep, I agree. There was always a battle between my spotted hawkfish and my birdwrasse as to which one could get the shrimp first!

They need to be fed a lot of meaty foods and not many people want to pollute their tanks trying to meet their feeding requirements.

I had one for 2 years until it commited suicide. They will jump out of the tank from the smallest hole. I had 2 others that I kept for over a year and they both jumped out, one did it during a water change and I didnt catch it in timed. Great fish with a lot of personality though.

Man, I would love to get one, but I am worrying about my shrimps. Longnose is kinda cheap too.
