Loss of my oldest

So after 6 months, my oldest fish, " Flame Angel" has moved on.. This guys has made it through Ich attacks, Beginner water params, tank moves and everything. He was most beautiful.

He will be missed.

Odd thing. So I got a new Coral Beauty and immediately the Flame angel was relentless. Chasing around until the Coral Beauty hid under a rock. And event hem he harrased him.

So 24 Hours later, the Coral beuty came out and all of a sudden the Flame angel was lying on the bottom. Still breathing but barely. Immediately took him and put in a storage net within the tank... HE was dead within the hour.


What do we think > Did he swim into a rock and hit his head ? That is what I am going with.

Anyway, the Coral Beuty is out from hiding and happy now that the tank bully is gone...

Thats really quite the shame, I almost bought one of these beautiful fish to day, karma to ya....

Depending on what you have I highly recommend one. They are quite beautiful. I think mine freeked out when I introduced another angel. They are know to be bullies though. When I had my snowflake he was quite mellow as he wasnt the tank bully. You need someone to keep him in check.

i believe that flame angels and coral beauties should not be housed together. this may have led to the unfortunate demise of the flame. at any rate sorry for your loss
