Plenty of food enough for them floating around in water column...also loads of scum and algae in overflows as I had never thought of cleaning them out before.

Was so astounded at finding them, first thought they must be Maroon offspring that somehow survived  - Had initially forgotten about the percs as so much time had passed.

Is pretty amazing they managed to survive in there alone for so long...One would think they would have died of boredom if nothing else.

Now that I think about it, it is also incredible they did not die of stress/shock when I pulled them out and immediately placing them in main tank after being in isolation for so long. Where they were instantly pounced on by the Maroons and nearly beaten to death before I could fish them out. (my mistake :-[)

Says much about the hardiness of this fish.

Happily thriving on their own 12 gallon reef now...which they share with a Jewel damsel and watchman goby. ;D (Damsel went in long after clowns, so was no compatibility issues once it learned not to go near the clown's anem. ;) )

That is amazing...... A mistake is only a mistake if you don't learn from it... Think of it as a learning experience, some just more costly than others....

You always take such good pics, and have so many great looking fish. One day, so will I. One day (tank is cycling for now).

I'm really thinking about having a watchman goby as one of my tank inhabitants. Any suggestions or info you could share about them? Would be much appreciated.
