    what kind of goby?

a lot of times gobys will hide for awhile before they start to venture out

I wouldnt tear anything apart for it. Mandarins require very high amount of pods to be in your system. I only see mine at night and sometimes very rarely in the day

Now, when I first bought the tank I bought an orange spotted goby (June). Never saw him (remember this one). So back in October or so I bought a pink spotted goby. Saw that one for awhile but not long. A couple weeks ago I bought a circus goby. Well the next day I notice that the circus was tore up and here is this skinny, skinny orange spotted goby! (HAVE NOT SEEN SINCE JUNE) So I take the circus out and put in another tank. This orange spotted goby is out all the time now, sifting sand all over everything. Like he was trapped. He has fattened up and is all over now.

I just got a greeen mandarin last week and just saw it out today for the first time. As soon as it sees me it disappears into the rock work.

i just bought a diamond goby, its gone no traces...
no crabs, no ammonia, or nitrite...??? so he is alive or disolved into the water..
hope he is around still, dont break down your tank unless your getting ammonia IMO

I bought a diamond goby and put him in the tank. I didn't see him for 2 days until I heard the lid on top of my overflow box bump up. Well I fished him out and put him back in the tank. I put an egg crate top to slow him down from jumping out but still no sign. I hope he will show up. Hope yours does too
