I have Bubble tip Anenome in my tank and it moved to the very back of my reef and I have not seen it for a week or two. I wake up every morning to see if it has moved but it has not come out. I did add new lights to my tank about a month ago. My lighting is a Nova Extreme T5 6 x 48 inch lights. I thought it would love the new lights but I guess I was wrong. I actually pulled a few rocks out today where I thought it was but its vanished? The good thing though is I am running some really fresh carbon incase something bad has happened. Anything else I should do?

You need to find it, even if it means removing the rock. Its something that will need to be monitored daily. I doubt it died, you would know if it did ;)

I'm with Jason all the way. When mine disappeared on me, my first reaction was to find it and make sure all was well. That is something you do not want MIA. I found mine in the PH intake. It had not died yet. Good thing too. Anemone death is evil.

I found my anemone in the biocube filter one time. If anyone knows, those are pretty small and it was tough getting him out. But Im glad i did or else i think he probably would have died.

Well I found my anenome today and it was not good. I started pulling rocks out close to the last spot I found him. The very last rock I pulled I found a mucus/gelatinous creature that was my anenome. I quickly took my sand vac and started vaccuming him up trying to get ever piece possible. I Vaccumed that area of the sand and took out ten gallons of water in the process. Then I made a trip to the LFS and snagged 25 gallons of water for a change. Everything in the tank as of right now looks fine. I am running a chemi pure grande in my sump to help clean up. Any other suggestions?

Change out your carbon/media every few days and you should be fine if everything looks ok

My first BTA completely disappeared without a trace. The last I saw before I left for work, it was about 2" diameter. When I got home, it wasn't on the rock. I pulled every rock out and it was just gone. I checked the filters and nothing, and it wasn't stuck on any PH. All I can think of is that my maroon ate it. Clowns will eat them if they are too small to host.
