Bring it back to normal temp slowly. Good luck. Was your change water extra cold or, something?

I wouldn't. Just keep the house warm and let it slowly come back.

I have a seperate heater dedicated to preheating my water change water. Heating it up to even 70-72 degrees helps out a lot, and doesn't take long at all, but it helps out alot to preheat your WCW to your tank temp. It helps the salt be fully dissolved and as similar to the tank you are adding it to as possible.

Topoff water stays room temp, however.

Always preheat water before adding to your tank.

If you are doing a water change for example, it would better to first get the water upto 77F then add salt and whatever you need to add. The pH of the freshly made salt water would be higher aswell.

The salinity reading would also be more accurate if you bring it up to the same temperature as the water in your tank.

My water is always colder than my tanks 72F (house temp) vs about 76F (tank temp) but I do it anyways and fish, etc don't seem to care. At least it doesn't seem like it.
