    It is splitting most likely. Most of the time they don't bubble, but sometimes they do. It's probably just the first time it's doing the "bubble" thing. My torch only did it once out of the now 7 times it's heads have split, and I freaked out when it happened too.
    If you're still overly concerned about it, you could always frag them off and do an iodine dip. But I am 99% sure its just doing the bubble split.
