    Our english accented friend has led us astray as well. I was so ticked I didn't want to hear any more from her, so I changed the voice to the man's. ;D

    Couple minor corrections :) You got Macro-Feast from CPR (I gave it to Russ for the Aquafuge). The TDO and Otohime samples came from APBreed, a new Reed Mariculture product line (makes of Reef Nutrition and Instant Algae products).

    Thanks Gresham. It's been my experience that tangs don't get HLLE, pinched belly, or black ich if they are fed OGO (Gracilaria parvispora) or Macro-Feast (Gracilaria pacifica) AND a quality vitamin/HUFA supplement periodically too.

    BTW, this is a product that I use and recommend. Reef Nutrition - Macro-Feast® I treat all animals well. I feed sponge to angels in addition to their regular diet, most omnivores are fed PE Mysis Piscine Energetics Inc - PE MYSIS - fresh water shrimp for the higher vitamins and HUFAs (smaller fish are fed enriched brine with Spirulina http://www.hikariusa.com/) in addition to New Life Spectrum pellets and flakes Home to give them some vegetable matter, they are fed nori so they can graze, etc. Whenever the store brings in an expensive tang, they automatically get Ogo or Macro-Feast too.

    The owner at first thought I was insane. He said I was wasting food and I should just thaw some mysis and throw in a bit of brine for the smaller fish too. I said, "No, you are wasting food. Do you ever see any food in the bottom of any tanks after I feed? There's tons of uneaten food the way you do it". Granted the way I feed takes a lot longer in terms of time. I have 5 or 6 containers and I make sure each fish gets what they need instead of a one-size fits all method. However, there's a reason I do this and it goes like this;

    ME: What's your most expensive fish?
    OWNER: The Vanuatu Hooded Wrasse
    ME: Nope, the most expensive fish in the store are the dead ones or the ones that die shortly after a customer purchases it.
    ME: How many customers have come back for a refund on a fish in the month since I've started here?
    OWNER: I don't know
    ME: The answer is ZERO. Not a single fish that I've sold has died.

    LOL....nope, I didn't do that. However, he never questioned my feeding methods again.
