Macro on live rock?

    Hello, was curious if anyone can identify these algaes as macro or not?

    yes thats macro. The stuff in the 2nd pic can take over an aquarium. If the water params aren't good they release their spores and make the PH toxic and can kill everything. It's happen to me before. not fun.

    What are suggestions in regards to second pic? Removal or just keep an eye on parameters.

    Removal. crabs,chitons,and some snails eat it.

    Looks to be some type of dictoya or maybe even some gracilaria.

    When macros go sexual they release CO2 into the water which lowers the pH.

    You have nowhere near enough to be worried about that.

    Most tangs and crabs will get rid of it in a day once they find it.
