Besides live and frozen brine, what are some foods I can feed a Majestic?
I have tried a little shrimp, and it picks at it.
Does it eat corals? If so, what kind of corals?

    Thanks for the link.
Is there anyone that has kept a Majestic and has firsthand experience about food? I am interested to know if this Angel will eat corals.
And I would like to know what other fish I can keep with a Majestic. So far, it's with a damsel and a clownfish.

That link says it will pick at corals and I am not surprised.

I learned early on that most angels, especially the ones that are not classified as dwarf angels are bad news in reef tanks. They will munch and nip on corals. Also they get huge! Most would be pushing it in a 75 gallon in my opinion.

As for the semi-safe dwarf angels, it's luck of the draw. I had a coral beauty in my last reef tank and it didn't bother anything. I was lucky. I have read numerous threads where people were freaking out because their Coral Beauty was eating and nipping at corals. So it's a role of the dice even with dwarf angels. Another one that comes to mind is the flame angel. A dwarf, but the same deal.

Sounds like you already have it, hope you have a big tank or are planning to get one some day.

I would love to have a fish only tank with angels, they are beautiful fish that change patterns and colors as they age.

I did post a link a while ago of some guy with a 16' - 20' long 2000 gallon or so tank that was stocked with hard corals and a lot of fish. Some of those were angels. But, I think it's safe to assume that with all the metal halide lamps and the A+ hardware, that those corals were growing too fast and were too plentyful for the few angels to overgraze.

Shrimp and brine probably aren't enough for the guy. I would (I always push this stuff) get some Formula I & II frozen food and alternate. That stuff is like the ocean in a blender. It's got everything and you will see the results.

If you keep it, good luck and I hope this helps, but if you want a reef, I'd take it back.

Thanks for the info about the Majestic.
I actually want to get some corals for the Majectic to munch on....just want to be sure of the corals the Majestic Angels eat before I buy them.
I'll try the Formula 1 and 2 stuff. The stuff seems good but from my past experience with them, the stuff seems to dissolve into the water if not eaten after a while.
    Not good for water quality.
I'm also trying to feed the Majestic some shrimp tha I cut into small bite sized pieces. I'm not sure it's eating it but the clownfish sure love the shrimp!

Then you were overfeeding. Use a knife and cut up the cube and feed it bits at a time for a few minutes.

You've posted here a lot, when you going to join? [smiley=yaknow.gif]
