I am still trying to figure out what happened but here is how it looks so far. The new chiller sprung a leak inside and before we knew it (we were sleeping) about 4-5 gallons of water is on the floor. Water level dropped below filter pumps. (they hang about 4 inches from the top od the red sea 130) Pumpe bunrt up and melted together. Not sure how long water flow stopped.

Results are that from what i can see fish OK, shrimp OK, crab OK starfish??? the jury is still out. I had a spare pump(thank goodness) I have it set in the tank until I can get the ones I need. At least water is moving around but not through the filter set up in the back of the tank.

i think I can make the spare pump work like a stock red sea pump so when LFS opens i will pick a couple up. I had a bout 2 gallons of salt water so I added it to get water level above rocks. Tank is a little cloudy from my emergency procedures but seems OK

Anyway is there anything else I should do? I have to work today (figures i have been off the past 2 days) and cannot return until about 2pm with needed parts, water ect. Any other suggestions for what i can do now appreciated. Only Corals in there are some recent frags. Thanks i have some water to clean up.

Well it looks like I got lucky. LFS had pumps that will work withmy Red Sea. Pumps in (boosted flow rate by 60GPH. Water added, chiller repaired just a bad seal. Just waiting for Tank to clear up. Corals starting to open again. Starfish is moving and went after some pellets. Now just a matter of time. Good thing I had a spare pump and LFS had something I could make work as far as pumps. Only bad part was the money I set aside for corals is now in new pumps.

On the bright side it was time for a water change;D

Thanks for the kind thoughts whippy::)
