    Mine eats Live and Frozen and Pods. Mine is a Red Mandarin, Just got him the other day. He wasnt eating frozen mysis till the guy at the store tried. He currently eats frozen mysis in my Tank and Pods. So Im assuming if a Live one came by his way hed take it.

    Ours have never been fed anything special... They just eat algae and whatever they can find on the live rock. They've been given frozen foods, but never showed any interest. Its been over a year since they were put in the tank and they're still happy!

    up to 70% of the mandarins eat prepared food

    I have one fat mandrain. That thing eats anything that goes in the tank. I got lucky on this one.

    My spotted will pretty much eat anything as well. He eats frozen brine, algae, and I've even seen him eat a sinking pellet food I used for my CBS. I'd vote, but it won't let me. Sorry.

    Once you have been on the forum for a while it will let you vote. Had some contest a while back that got botched by creating numerous accounts then posting votes with them. Always a bad apple that ruins if for the hole bushel.

    I figured it was something like that.

    And yes, I'm a born and bread Hoosier. Lived in FL for a time, but IN always seems to drag you back.
