    ok is a mandarin dragonet possible in a 8 gallon solely dedicate to it? there's about 10 lbs of LR and 15lbs of LS? thanks

    Make sure you have tons of copepods and amphipods, because that's all he mostly eats. Make sure you have a way of replenishing them too. Other than that you're good to go.

    No, you won't have the pod population for it to survive long enough to get it eating the normal foods you'd need to keep it on in a tank that size. I don't know if it's even enough room for it to not feel crowded and die from stress, either.

    Nonononono lol. It'll decimate a population of pods in a tank that size within days, regardless as to how many there are. It won't be able to withstand the onslaught that is the podinator.

    not unless you buy pods and add them everyday or you get a mandarin that will take food.

    My vote is no. It will starve. They eat copepods constantly and will destroy a whole population in no time. Sorry

    ehhhhhh majority rules i guess....lol what if i get one thats trained to take frozen foods?

    it will probably work, but you will probably need to do alot of water changes.

    Agreed. They need to be fed a lot if they only have frozen/pellet food, as they have a very fast metabolism.
