Mangrove trimming?

    I forgot you have to remove it lol, cut it in half where the plant will be, then cut a hole in that divide, so you will have two halfs.

    they won't look like the reef, but It could definitely look good on a open top tank. it would be alike a vivarium.

    so do you think its a bad idea? If so, should I just plant them in a swampy area or what

    IMO it would depend on the look you are going for. If you are going for a barrier reef or something it would not look natural, but it wouldn't look out of place in a softies or planted tank.

    Looks pretty natural in this tank. (also coolest tank ever)

    Do you have a sump? thats where mine are, in my sump growing out of a Plastic shoe box filled with sand. They are great in helping keep phosphates an nitrates down.

    And yes the roots can and will grow right into the seam of the tank and possibly split it and cause the tank to leak, I mean they break concrete into tiny little pieces. This is why I use the plastic shoe box.
