    My Order just came in from reef cleaners yesterday, and I had orderd some mangroves. Now I know the top part of them has to be above the water line, but which part is the top? theres a fat end thats brown, and the other end is real pointy?:confused:

    The skinny end is the top.

    yep..stick the brown end in the water..in a few weeks you'll have one little leaf and a few roots!

    You'll be surprised at how quickly the roots sprout.
    I havent seen much leaf growth, but I think they are shy when being watched, lol.

    good root growth is the most important part. once they reach a certain amount of root to sustain the tree they shoot up. A lot of plants shoot up fast to get light in areas of competition, mangroves aren't this way really. Probably because they have to contend with wave action.

    I got some from john a few weeks ago. no leaves as of yet, but they sprouted roots in 3 days. i'm really surprised at how fast the roots grow.
