I work at a marina in Key Largo down here in South Florida. Long story short, occasionally I notice some small mangroves wash up on our lift well (where our fork lifts launch boats) when the tide goes down. Well I just happened to grab a few and threw them in a bucket of water today. I'm thinking about sticking them in my fuge when I get home. They are about 6" long and bright green. The largest has a couple of leaves already spouting.
Should I have any problems with these? If not, should I just bury the roots in the sand bed?
    Thanks,

    Will do...thanks again, sir.
I think I'm just gonna stick 'em in the sand and see what happens.
And I'm soon to begin building my 75gal. I'm sure I'll have plenty to bug you about then. I've already got ya on speed dial lol.

I just picked up a bunch (about 17) today and was thing the same thing. I plucked them out of te intracoastal. Funny how the LFS here are charging anywhere between $3-$6 each for these seeds. Crazy!
