Mariman's 29g Ecosystem

Ok today is July 15th and i started the tank about a month ago. I am going to show some pics and give some general history of my tanks progression. this is going to be my first reef. I have kept FOWLR in the past but never any corals.

Setup:
-29 sea clear acrylic aquarium(pretty scratched up but it was free lol)
-Old Aqua Medic 250watt metal halide
-10g sump/refugium(i stole the pump, overflow, and plumbing from my dads old proclear 75 wet/dry filter)
-the return pump is a rio 2100
-Bak Pak 2 skimmer(well havent actually hooked it up yet, gotta buy a replacement pump for it)
-1 powerhead(dont know what it is, prolly around 300gph)
-until i hook up my skimmer, i am running a little HOB filter with carbon
-200watt Walmart Heater

Aquarium Life:
-about 20-30 pounds of some of my dads old live rock that i bleached, now base rock
-ive purchased about 25 pounds of live rock from my LFS
-2 types of mushrooms(cant ID them...please let me know lol)
-kenya tree frag
-5 yellow zoas
-some little anenome(also cant ID this...please tell me if you know
-1 Scarlet Hermit
-4 turbo snails
-2 blue damsels

History: Yeah i know some of you will say that i put corals in too early buy i got them all for 10 dollars collectively so it wont kill me if they died. a friend of mine fragged them for me. he also has a beautiful frogspawn he is gonna sell me when my tank establishes more. this friend also gave me a small bag of his live sand so im hoping some of it will seed my dry sand. I also use tap water because first of all the tap here is pretty clean and second i cant afford a ro/di so i use water conditioner.
~7/8-bought yellow polyp, small nem, and some shrooms, and keya frag for 10$
~accidently left light on for like 14 hours and thats when the cyano came...
~7/14-went to Petco and bought 2 blue damsels, 4 turbos, and i scarlet hermit

Equipment/livestock interested in, if you have extras: new light cause i dont trust this German made thing, hydor koralia(evo), testing equipment, chateo, coral supplements....



Any tips or positive criticisms are greatly appreciated...

 

oh and if anybody lives in the northeast arkansas, southeast missouri, memphis, west memphis area then add me as a friend and we could possibly trade or something someday

 

Now you did it!,you got your first corals,it's like somebody on crack,just one mushroom,then a couple zoas and then you just can't stop!! lol !Sounds like you got the makings of a good start.But you will want to start using ro/di water,i had it explained to me very well just a week ago,and the difference is crystal clear(literally!)
