marine algae

    can anybody recommend a marine aglae? something to help with the excess nutrients.. but wont take over the whole tank..
    any ideas?

    cheato and mangroves are what I use, but I also have them in a refugium. Like stated above need more info on your tank.

    If you don't have anything that eats algae, like a tang, you could plant some kelp around the tank.

    If you have something like a tang, try halimeda or shaving brush plants.

    None of these are as good as chaeto/mangroves, though.

    For anyone interested: I have bunches of caulerpa I will give away to anyone in the (north) Pittsburgh PA area willing to come get it.
    I also have 2 Berghia nudi's that need a good home immediately (free). They did an amazing job but are shrinking due to lack of food.
