Does anyone know if there is a way to see a good depiction of the color differences in a species of fish based on it's area of origin? I know some online suppliers receive fish from various areas and offer them based upon their place of origin, live aquaria for example, and was wondering what the real difference was. I know some can have some differences in their coloration.

I don't know if LA is identifying the collection location for coloration purposes, consumer confidence or to explain price differences.

Don't know if there is any resource for color differences by location of species.

Ok, I was going to get a midas blenny but they offer them from the Maldives, Indonesia, and Africa. I never know what the difference between them is so I'm not sure if one would be better than the other you know.

LOL, I understand. About the only corals that I know of is elegance corals. The ones from Indonesia are supposed to be the hardiest. Not sure about any fish though.

Price's for example range on liveaquaria I was told, due to regulations of the area. The more moderated areas are more expensive where the least moderated areas are cheaper. That happens to explain prices. I do know some fish are more hardy from certain locations. and some coloration with different locations, given an example Scotts Fairy wrasse.
