So i dont know what happened last night in my sleep but i just woke up and my maroon clown has decided he likes my nem. they have been in the same tank for almost a week. I didnt even think the clownfish knew there was a nem in the tank, but now they look great together.
does the relationship between a clown and a nem benefit either of them in a significant way? is there anything i should be doing to keep this relationship healthy?

JM2C but I believe the clown will keep other pests away from the nem and sometimes even feed it while the nem offers protection to the clowns from predation. To keep them happy maintain prestine water conditions and feed the nem meaty seafood weekly/biweekly. Sabae can be one of the more difficult to keep so keep an eye on it as marroons are very vigorous and aggressive clowns. ;)

Yeah, maroons are aggressive and can be hard on nems. If the nem is at least 3 or 4 times larger than the clown it should be ok though.

When I drop silversides in the tank one of the Maroon's will go retrieve it and give it to the LTA it's hosting. Kinda fun to watch.

the maroon is almost 2 inches long, and the nem is about 4 inches in diam. definately not 3 times larger then the clown. I'll see how it goes for a while, hopefully it works well
