Non taken! I'm all about tips. Actually at this point though the water is half empty, there's only about 5g in there. If I filled it all the way I wouldn't be able to use the mangroves that I currently have and would be limited on the mangroves I buy. Plus I would have I do something with the light.

I wouldn't completely submerge, at least not the left rock because it has water flow going over it and will eventually grow algae (including coralline) along that stream of water if the flow is consistent. Also throw in a few scraps of coralline from your other tanks.

I think the lights need to be upgraded badly.. I would get a cheap t5 fixture from odyssea as a permanet light

Since you have the land, why not get some fiddler crabs or something?

Oh no I didn't mean raise the water level I meant just keep the rocks under water but it sounds like stuff will grow better if it's above?

OHHHHH. I have the rocks above water so that the snails and crabs can crawl up on land. And for waterfalls.

no they can be freshwater, brackish, or fully salt. also i believe a great idea would to just take the hood off the tank, then hang a flourescent light above the tank, gives alot of room for mangroves to grow and looks a lot better, sure topping the tank off will be a ***** but i think the great look makes up for it.
