    i think it will look cool in the end! with clown gobies, rotifers help because they are so small. if it makes a difference, you could use pvc instead of a planter. they might be easier to cover up and you might like the look..

    Thanks me too. I think they'll do fine if I just stick them in a rock. Atleast for the red mangroves. With the bigger ones with roots I'll plant directly in sand and see how they do.

    anything can work if you put enough time into concealing it with rocks and sand.

    Mangroves don't have to be in the sand at all. One thing to worry about is if the roots will grow into the silicone eventually and separate the panes.

    I REALLY want to fill the tank all the way up, but my mangroves are only like 3-5"! How can i make this work? I guess i could always just rubber band them to some skewers... Hmm.

    Ill be upgrading the bulbs to 20 watt 50/50s. I want to keep softies in this tank. Ill be filling it up as soon as i get home.
