    I doubt that will work bro. Even with a jungle, youll be doing water changes. I wouldnt go that route IMO.

    However, add alot of floating plants and you can really decrease the amount of water changes. They suck up trAtes

    I think in a ten g you could achieve this if you planted A LOT and stocked just 4 tetras, which really don't add anything to the bio load. Just keep checking levels after cycle to make sure that nothing crazy is going on.

    I'll just do it the normal way with water changes.:)

    water changes a reaalllly easy with freshwater. i doubt youll think its a burden with a ten gallon since its like 1 gallon a week.

    Yeah it was easy when it was set up as a FO freshy. Should I use rodi?

    you should use 50% rodi 50% treated tap because you have shrimp, they tend to like rodi more, but plants dont.

    Ahhh, ok. Well here's an updated list f items I'll need.

    Substrate- 20$
    Test kits- 20$
    Thermometer- 10$
    Plants- 20ish

    And I think I'll add a betta first along with the plants.

    I would use all RODI water, Plants don't really need tap water just nitrates/phosphates/ammonia and other organics.

    yes, but thats all in tap water. rodi water would create a hypotonic condition which is dangerous for fish. if you want to use all rodi, you need a supplement for it.
