    +1 Your filters fighting against that much head height can be detrimental in the long run. Not to mention you will have a serious water fall going on at that height that would move your fine sand all over the place.

    Ahh good point. I'll have to find some tall mangroves then. I'll also figure out how to hang the lights.

    Added salt. I'll throw in a cube of mysis with some lr, MB7 and mangroves tonight to start the cycle.

    Dont add the mangroves yet buddy. I wouldnt atleast.

    Personally, I would. Mangroves when stressed can go into a dormant state and wont grow at all for you. When your water has stabilized a bit it should be no problem but I would wait a bit before you add them. High ammonia levels would probably stress it out. How many mangroves do you have to add to this tank?

    Oh I didn't know that. I'll be adding three red mangroves initially with a ball of chaeto.
